Celebrity mom and Christian vlogger Rica Peralejo wants her children to stay firmly grounded and to learn by experiencing actual communities.

Peralejo spoke about how she would want to continue raising her children and the growth she has so far seen in them, via her Instagram page yesterday, May 17, where he also showed a drawing by her son.

“Woke up early to begin working on my son’s Portfolio. We did a lot this year. He has grown so much, and so did I,” she said.

Peralejo shared that her son has been to Negros, Zamboanga, Pampanga and Ilocos in a span of just two months. She is proud that her son saw history unfold as he took part in and witnessed the rallies. Peralejo participated in the provincial rallies for Vice President Leni Robredo.

“He saw history happening right before [his] eyes and got to meet some of the finest people in the nation,” she said.

Peralejo then stressed that “our education is beyond classrooms, really.”

“And it is only this school year that I began to realize that what I really want my children to learn is to feel the ground. To stay close to the ground. And never lift too high that they won’t be able to feel others anymore,” she explained.

“I want them to know who we are and not only read about who we are,” she stressed. “I want them to feel and touch and experience the lessons, more than just write some things on their paper.”

She expressed her gratefulness to God and “for this season,” noting how “every school year that passes by is filled with so many surprises no teacher can ever truly plan for.” JB
