Cool off with a Korean ice pop cocktail | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

Thirstday? You didn’t read that wrong. With the weekend so close, we’re already thirsty for a break. Who here wants a quick trip to chilly Seoul, perhaps? A quenching answer came in the form of our Korean ice pop cocktails. Face it, a ticket and airport check-in might just be too much of a hassle right now.

This recipe helped us discover soju, Korea’s most popular alcoholic beverage. Made of ethanol distilled from rice or potatoes and water, it has a fresh and crisp taste almost like soda. Don’t be fooled, though, as too much can get to your head.

Soju then makes for a good alcoholic base if you’re not much of a fan of the bitter aftertaste. In this recipe, you’ll give in to a few of guilty pleasures.

Korean Ice Pop Cocktail with Soda or Milk

Ingredients
Soju
Strawberry milk
Clear soda
Korean ice pop, any flavor you prefer

Procedure
1. Fill half a glass with chilled soju.
2. Add milk or soda but not filling the glass to leave space for the ice pop.
3. Stir in Korean ice pop until your cocktail changes color. We chose a melon one for our soda version and a strawberry one for our milk version. You’re free to try other favorite flavors or mix different ones for each glass you’ll make.
4. Enjoy!
