It’s Showtime host Kim Chiu immensely enjoyed her holiday vacation with Xian Lim in Europe, gushing over certain tourist sites, especially the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France.

In a post on her Youtube channel Sunday, January 8, Chiu marveled at the postcard-perfect beauty of the popular Parisian tourist destination.

“Shocks, ang ganda. (Shocks, it’s so beautiful). Nakakaiyak. (It makes you cry). It’s so pretty. Finally na-reach namin on Christmas eve,” Kim said in the video.

“Super happy. Super nice,” Lim said.

“Maganda pala siya kapag gabi. Parang kapag umaga parang tower lang siya ng ABS-CBN,” Chiu noticed. (It’s beautiful at night). In the morning, it’s like the tower of ABS-CBN).

Chiu said that is was her first holiday trip after the pandemic.

“Ang saya. Ang sarap lang maka-experience ng ganoon ulit. Grabe,” she said. (It’s fun. It’s beautiful to experience like that again. It’s great).

Chiu pondered on how the pandemic changed her perspective in life.

“Two years ng pandemic really made us think lalo na sa akin. Time is really important na hindi mo na maibabalik kung anuman ang nagawa mo before or hindi mo masasabi kung anuman ang nasabi mo dati dahil hindi mo alam ang mangyayari next day, bukas, next week, next month, next year. So, time is really running. Time will not really wait for you. Ikaw talaga ang gagawa ng mga bagay na gusto mo sa buhay mo,” she said.

(Two years of pandemic made us think that time is really important. That you will not be able to turn back whatever you did before, or said before, because you will not know what will happen… You will really do the things that you want to do in your life.)

Time, Chiu realized, has become a “precious gift” for friends, loved ones and family.

“So, I take this holiday as reflection na rin at what I want to do. Or take this kung ano ang goals natin for 2023 and kung ano ang gusto nating mangyari kasi maganda ‘yung mag-set tayo ng goal for the entire year, next year, tomorrow or next week. Start tayo like second week of January. This is my goal,” she said.

(I take this holiday as a reflection and as beginning for what I want to do. Or take this to kickstart our goals for 2023, and what we want to happen. It’s nice to set a goal for the entire year, for next year, tomorrow or next week. Let’s start on the second week of January. That’s my goal.)

Chiu further said that it is better to write down one’s goals in life to encourage themselves to make it become a reality.

Earlier, Lim penned a loving message to his girlfriend as they capped their snowy holiday trip to Europe finally came to a close, saying he would like to spend more time traveling with her in the future.

Lim and Chiu flew to Paris last Christmas Eve, then welcomed the New Year in Switzerland.
