‘Wicked Part 1’ To Arrive on November 2024 | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

An unlikely but welcome surprise; the first part of the on-screen adaptation of the widely loved Broadway Musical ‘Wicked’ is set to make its way to theaters on Thanksgiving 2024, a month earlier than its initial release date.

It’s an advanced Christmas gift for the holiday season next year. Director Jon M. Chu first broke the news via Twitter:

“We are deep into production on WICKED and everyday we get more and more excited to share with u the mischief we’ve been up to. So…We’ve decided to get it to you all a little earlier than planned. OUR NEW RELEASE Date is NOV 27th 2024! A little Thanksgiving treat!”

The cast includes; Ariana Grande as Glinda, Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard, and Ethan Slater as Boq. Prior to solidifying her position as one of the biggest names in music, Grande was first known to appear on a number of shows such as ‘Victorious’ and ‘Sam & Cat’—if anything, she’s sure to be more than capable of holding her own in front of the camera.
