MISSONI HOME in Manila: Cristiano Magnoni, designer for T&J Vestor; Edoardo Roda, T&J Vestor general manager; Century Properties first lady Hilda Reyes Antonio;Wanda Jelmini, T&J Vestor creative director; Vittorio Missoni, shareholder and managing director of Missoni Home; Marco Antonio, Century Properties managing director and Acqua Private Residences project head; and Robbie Antonio, Century Properties managing director and head for international brand collaborations

The prestigious Century Properties Group, Inc. did it again with style—something they are renowned for—when they held the fabulous showroom launch of Acqua Livingstone, the fourth tower to rise at Acqua Private Residences and the first residential building in the world interior-designed by the Italian lifestyle brand Missoni Home, dahlings.

International guests of honor were elegantly chauffeured to the happening of the week in gorgeous BMW cars. Among them were Missoni shareholder and managing director Vittorio Missoni, T&J Vestor creative director Wanda Jelmini and T&J Vestor GM Edoardo Roda.

It was a jaw-dropping sight, dahlings, as we entered the showroom, which evoked Acqua’s awesome rainforest-infused aesthetic that would be constructed in the 2.4-ha residential Eden in the next few years. The lobby will have a two-story-high waterfall, an outdoor space and boardwalk with tropical foliage and water streams.

One of the guests, who has homes in three European cities and is here on a short visit (she also has a sprawling mansion in an upscale subdivision in the city), was so impressed that she grabbed three units without batting an eyelash, dahlings! I know a good deal when I see one, she told me, palanggas.

“Tonight we celebrate how Century Properties and Missoni Home share the same vision for Acqua and Acqua Livingstone,” said Marco Antonio, Century Properties managing director and Acqua project head. “Acqua’s design is nature-infused, with Missoni Home’s touches of nature in each of its creations. It’s the first and only residential project in the world interior-designed by Missoni Home.”

For his part, Vittorio Missoni said: “We’ve done hotel projects before, but this is really our first design in real estate. When I met the Antonio brothers, I found them to be such fantastic people representing a fantastic company, and I knew they would represent Missoni Home in the best way through this project.

After the short program, with cocktail concoctions by Cibo di M.,  a grand fireworks display celebrated the fruitful partnership of Century Properties and Missoni Home, and DJ Nina Saputil then got the evening bash on a wild roll, palanggas.

Artwork shades

You’re in for a crazy-cool visual treat this summer as Ray-Ban introduces a range of sunglasses that are not only fun to wear but are artworks in themselves: the La Boca Collection.

LOVEBIRDS Andi Manzano and GP Reyes, Century Properties

A limited Rare Prints edition inspired by the colorful houses of La Boca, Buenos Aires’ most colorful and artistic neighborhoods, the shades were launched at the posh Buddha Bar recently, with invitees turning out in eye-popping outfits.

Ray-Ban proudly showed off the four limited-edition frame designs of the La Boca collection, which is under the “Rare Prints Series 6,” featuring the classic Wayfarer in pop-art eye-candy color-block patterns.

The elegant venue got a healthy dose of psychedelic whirls and splashes of color, courtesy of respected local mural artists Piajet Mortelino and Jerik Robleza. The event kicked off the Ray-Ban Summer Road Show, which will have special offers at certain mall outlets where Rare Prints Series 1-6 are available.

Three lucky invitees will be living La Vida Boca! dahlings, as they each went home with a pair, natch!

Fun happening

FILA’S Cris Albert and Marco Antonio

A low-profile but fun happening took place with the très intimate dinner hosted by that woman of stature and substance, Alice Eduardo, CEO of Sta. Elena Construction & Development Corp., at Sala Restaurant, to celebrate another year of her endless energetic lifestyle.

On hand to help was her close pal Small Laude, who went around entertaining the chosen invitees like Sen. Miguel “Migs” Zubiri and wife Audrey Tan; broadcast journalist Karen Davila; Taguig Rep. Freddie Tinga and his wife Kaye Chua; Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco with his wife Michelle; Mons Romulo  and Pops Fernandez; and Dr. Z and Dr. Aivee Teo.

The surprise of the night came when Tatler editor Anton San Diego breezed in with the dashing British classical-crossover group Blake and joined the dinner. Blake then serenaded our excited celebrator with her favorite songs. A perfect night to end the special day of the one-of-a-kind Alice Eduardo, palanggas.
