Men’s Fashion Week just predicted what everyone will be wearing for summer next year.

This season of Men’s Fashion Week was abuzz, especially as Pharrell Williams just presented his first collection for Louis Vuitton in Paris. While the menswear collection does not scream as loudly as their women’s counterpart, the pieces from this season are setting up five trends that everyone will be dressed in next summer—with all genders likely to follow suit.

The Varsity Look

Pulled straight out of our schoolyard days, the SS24 Mens Fashion Shows are sparking a nostalgia-infused trend. Brands such as Kenzo, Louis Vuitton, and Givenchy are highlighting how one can never be too old to pull off a varsity jacket.

Asymmetrical Necklines

It may be a little adventurous but Saint Laurent, Loewe, and Rick Owens are leading the way to a more explorative and diverse look that can immediately enhance a simple pair of jeans or trousers, as designers introduce asymmetrical tops to the male market.

A Utilitarian Aesthetic

The utilitarian look has been creeping its way up to our closets through popular TikTok finds on cargo pants or skirts. Givenchy, Prada, and Fendi confirm that this aesthetic is indeed back, and we have to hop on it, especially considering its functionality—with all the many worker’s pockets, you never have to carry a bag again.

Denim on Denim

Denim is a staple in everyone’s closet whether it be a jacket or a pair of jeans. Yet for the longest time, denim on denim has always raised eyebrows. This fashion week, Kenzo, Gucci, and Valentino proved that denim can achieve more laid-back looks while still being sophisticated if worn on the double.

Soft and Flowy Silhouettes

After the comfort of staying home during the pandemic, tastes have evolved so we are no longer settling on trading comfort for style. Zegna, Dior, and Hermès are here to show you that soft and flowy silhouettes are the middle ground between the two, perfect for your day-to-day errands in the upcoming season.
