NCAA Season 95 canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic | Lifestyle.INQ

The only events that took place this season were basketball, swimming, table tennis and taekwondo

The NCAA policy board officially announced on Wednesday, Mar. 18 that the rest of the season will be terminated due to the coronavirus pandemic. 

The tournaments that have been cancelled are track and field, volleyball, football, lawn tennis, soft tennis, under-15 basketball, beach volleyball and the cheerdance competition. The only events that took place this season were basketball, swimming, table tennis and taekwondo 

 This is also the first time the league canceled the tournament after 58 years. 

There is no final word yet regarding the extension of eligibility for the graduating student-athletes. However, the board will consider looking into this moving forward.
