With its season three release last July, “Stranger Things” takes the title as the most-streamed show of the entire year. The two-year gap between seasons amped up its stature as one of the most highly anticipated returns of 2019, and viewers may not have to worry about another arduous wait—a cryptic tweet by the “Stranger Things” writers points to a possible season four this year.

Some surprises also popped up on the list with none other than Henry Cavill’s latest fantasy series, “The Witcher” making an appearance on the top series rundown. While it may have premiered on the tail end of the year, the series takes the second spot, even beating the Baby Yoda craze of “The Mandalorian.” i-D cites “The Witcher’s” instant success with the bestselling books by Andrzej Sapkowski, as well as its prior popularity as a video game series. Topped with an immense marketing campaign and the mystic powers that Henry Cavill may or may not possess, “The Witcher” was a shoo-in for success.

Ranking third on the list is Gerard Way’s much talked about comic book adaptation, “The Umbrella Academy.” Other hits on the list include comedy “Dead to Me,” while infamous stalker series “You” ranks fifth. Golden Globe-nominated “Unbelievable” also made it on the ranks, as well as the series “Sex Education.”

It seems that things are looking bright for Netflix this year. If you’re feeling the series fatigue, consider the films Netflix have in store—they’re all delivered to you via a bunch of log lines on a Twitter thread, because why not.
