Scribd’s entire catalogue of books are free to read for 30 days | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

Since quarantine started, all sorts of media have been made public for free consumption: films, music, online courses, scholarly documents and games. Now, Scribd continues the thread of goodwill by opening their entire catalogue of digital ebooks and audiobooks for 30 days.

In an official Instagram post, Scribd’s founder and CEO Trip Adler announced that their decision is in light of the global pandemic forcing people to stay close to home and therefore, “access to books and information is more important than ever before.” Given the advent of fake news and elitist takes on this entire situation, isn’t that the truth?

They have nine main categories: Career and Money, Personal Growth, Politics & Current Affairs, Science & Tech, Health & Fitness, Lifestyle, Entertainment, Biography & History and, of course, Fiction. Each of these categories are also broken down to subsections. Yep, it’s a lot of reading material and, yep, they’re all for free.

Their titles include recent bestsellers from authors like Stephen King, Shonda Rhimes, Haruki Murakami, Margaret Sexton and many more. You could spend your day reading “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck” then start the next with “Gone Girl.” Imagine the library from Beauty and the Beast right on your screen. Thanks Scribd.
