When the time comes you want a good cry, we’ve compiled a short list of best places to cry in Manila where you won’t get judged

Maybe it’s heartbreak, lovers’ quarrel, or just one of those days when you feel like the only single person in a world filled with couples. Or maybe, it’s just been an overwhelming day, week, life. There are plenty of reasons why someone would want to have a good cry, out for the world to see. When that time comes, we’ve compiled a short list of places where you can cry your heart out. Where you won’t get judged or mugged.

Ayala Triangle Gardens

Smack in the middle of hustle and bustle of Makati, time seems to slow down in this spacious city garden. Here, one can take their time to go through the motions of their emotions without the rush of city life.

Eastwood Cinemas

Sometimes, people need the excuse of a tear-jerking movie to allow themselves a cry in public. This cinema offers you that as well as cool air-conditioning and the most comfortable cinema seats there ever was. Be comfortable while seeking comfort, and chance a relatively empty screening if you really want to let it all out.

There’s something romantic about letting the tears flow while being surrounded by masterpieces. In the National Museum, you can experience this for free. We recommend Isabelo L. Tampinco’s sculpture exhibition to maximize the melancholia.

Point-to-Point bus

What they said about having the deepest thoughts while looking out of bus windows is true. Catch a ride and have a silent existential crisis on one of their double-decker, yellow buses. For sure, there won’t be any loud conductors or rude passengers to interrupt you along the way.

Bonus: Shell gas station toilet in Bohol

Fair enough, a bathroom is arguably not that public, especially this luxurious gas station bathroom that only allows one person at a time. But, there’s still something about having a quick cry while surrounded by the sound of cars and people. As far as we’re concerned, this little bathroom is still something to consider when you’re looking for a quiet but public place for a quiet cry.
