Trust Cate Blanchett to take on a movie that would dare her to take the persona of 13 different people. In the movie Manifesto, Cate transforms herself into different characters from newscaster to construction worker, from teacher to homeless person.
The changes are drastic from hair, makeup, costume to accent and manner. Only Cate can pull off such a challenge. Manifesto started out as a multi-screen video installation but has now transformed into a 90-minute feature to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival this month. It features dialogue taken from the different art manifestos of the 20th century’s greatest thinkers and innovators.
