The pair constructed with premium Italian leather and calfskin lining comes with a leather traveling case
Traveling without your own indoor slippers can be stressful. The shame of having to ask the front desk if they have one in my room as if it’s a crime(!) is enough reason not to forget packing them in the first place. I’ve had to deal with confusing hotel slippers that are never quite anatomically fitting to either your right or left foot. That they are often made of non-breathable materials and are too big or too small for me are extra pain in the ass.
I know, I know: Why don’t I just bring my own slippers blah blah blah. You know what? I will if they’re these Aimé Leon Dore travel slippers that come with their own crafted leather case.
The New York brand by designer Teddy Santis has become synonymous with sophisticated streetwear that borders luxury. ALD, as it has come to be known among its followers, has collaborated with the likes of New Balance, Rimowa, and Porsche, further cementing its street cred in an industry saturated with collaborations.
This season, ALD created leather travel slippers from premium Italian leather. It has a calfskin lining with a gold printed logo and a single stack sueded leather outsole with a debossed logo. Best of all, it’s packable—and not inside one of those repulsive drawstring pouches. No.
It comes with a branded premium leather traveling case that matches the color of your slipper of choice. Priced at P24,450, they come in three colors: red scarlet, black, and olive.
According to the ALD website, where the slippers can be purchased in US men’s sizing, it’s suitable for both indoor and outdoor use but a disclaimer notes that the type of leather used is not water-resistant and is prone to staining and discoloration, so maybe don’t go anywhere near the hotel pool in them.
