August marked a dramatic turning point in my weight-loss journey—eight months of intense struggle, triumph and transformation. As fate would have it, the number 8 reflects the kind of powerful, confident and sexy state I’m aiming for after being a 3XL lady in 2023.

It all began in November 2023, with a sobering revelation during a work trip—I faced the harsh reality that my wardrobe had become a battlefield of frustration. Clothes that once fit now felt like a cruel joke, demanding deep breaths and uncomfortable squeezes.

As a first-time mom overwhelmed by sleepless nights and relentless stress, I found myself turning to stress-eating, leading to a weight of 79 kg. I felt disconnected from the vibrant, confident woman I used to be, and the physical pain and health issues due to weight gain were a constant reminder of my struggles.

That trip home was a turning point. Confronted with a reflection of someone I no longer recognized, I knew it was time to reclaim my life. Driven by determination, I embarked on a journey that included a calorie deficit diet, carefully tracking my intake to ensure I was consuming fewer calories than I burned, which was crucial in shedding excess weight while fueling my workouts.

I also embraced cycling, starting with just 2 kilometers and gradually increasing the distance each week until I reached the farthest I could cycle, which is 25 km. But the journey wasn’t just about that—it was about rebuilding myself, one pedal stroke at a time.

Regimen

My routine evolved into a comprehensive regimen: daily cardio, invigorating dance sessions, strength-building exercises for my legs, arms and core and the grace of Pilates. Every drop of sweat, every aching muscle, was a testament to my resilience and unwavering commitment.

Now, as I weigh 60 kg, I see more than just a number—I see a symbol of my transformation. I’ve shed not just weight, but also the doubts and limitations that once held me back. The journey was a battle, and I emerged victorious, feeling more beautiful, healthier and empowered than ever before.

I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support and encouragement from my family and friends. Their belief in me fueled my determination and made this journey possible. I also feel blessed to be part of an organization that values and supports work-life balance, allowing me the time and space to focus on my personal well-being.

This journey has shown me that change is within reach for anyone willing to commit to it. If you’re struggling, remember that you too can achieve incredible transformation. Embrace the challenge, take that first step and use a calorie deficit diet combined with consistent effort to overcome your obstacles.
