Unfortunately, we’ve got a week till the next batch of episodes drop
Three years ago after a rocket sent by Jinx, we were left with a cliffhanger ending for the season finale of “Arcane.” What will happen to Jayce, Mel, Viktor, and everyone in the Piltover council? The question burning in everyone’s minds—we didn’t know then as it faded to black right before Jinx hit her mark.
This past weekend, “Arcane” Season 2 Act 1 was released, opening us to a Piltover reeling from Jinx’s deadly attack: a grieving Caitlyn, a conflicted Vi, Jinx on the run, Viktor in intensive care, and Piltover on the brink of societal collapse. But like three years ago, with Acts 2 and 3 coming on Nov. 16 and Nov. 23 respectively, we’re once again left with questions that are yet to be answered.

How do Singed and Warwick figure into the overall plot?
There’s no more speculation on the matter, Warwick will likely make an appearance in the following episodes. There’s no doubting his connection to Vi and Jinx (if he truly is Vander) but the question remains: why? There are only six episodes remaining, and with so much ground to cover, does “Arcane” have enough time to throw the werewolf-human hybrid into the mix?
What is Ambessa’s relationship with the Black Rose?
Last season, Ambessa was introduced as a power-hungry Noxian warlord who sought to take Jayce’s Hextech for her own. Though that plan doesn’t seem to have changed, her encounter with the newly-introduced Black Rose (who sent an assassin to her) adds another dimension to her character.
For those who don’t know, the Black Rose is a shadow organization pulling the strings behind Noxus. Why did Ambessa fall on the crosshairs of the mysterious group? How are they connected to the death of her son? Why did they capture Mel in episode 3?
What is the true nature of Hextech?
Though Jayce is currently experiencing the drawbacks of the ongoing Piltover-Zaun conflict, the arrival of Ekko and Heimerdinger has brought to his attention the consequences of his involvement with Hextech.
The technology, initially introduced as a combination of magic and technology, is currently seen as the deciding factor for the ongoing war. Other nations, particularly Noxus, also view it as a potential weapon source. However, the overuse of Hextech may negatively affect the natural world beyond petty squabbles.
Will Ekko invent the Z-Drive?
Though Ekko (in “League of Legends” circles) is widely known for having technology that allows him to manipulate time, “Arcane” has only teased the ability through a creatively presented duel with Jinx in Season 1. Now that he’s with both Jayce and Heimerdinger, two gifted inventors, will the following acts show us the origins of his Z-Drive device?
Will Janna make an appearance?
In “League of Legends” lore, Janna is described as an elemental wind spirit who protects the residents of Zaun. And while Jinx referred to her as an urban legend, that pretty much confirms her existence in the “Arcane” universe. Though, will Janna-mains get more than a tease?
