Volunteers can now get injected with coronavirus for research purposes | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

While quick cash schemes are a little iffy, there are some who border on extreme. Case in point: Volunteers can now get paid £3,500 (approximately P230,290) to be infected with the coronavirus for vaccine research.

UK-based research facility Queen Mary BioEnterprises Innovation Centre is offering cash to 24 potential candidates to further their search for a vaccine. Volunteers must be willing to be contaminated by two strains of the virus (OC43 and 229E). On the bright side, the injected strains won’t be as extreme as the COVID-19 as they are considered to be “less serious types of the coronavirus.”

Aside from the monetary goods, participants will get an all-expense-paid trip to quarantine with two weeks of isolation, an exercise ban, a restricted diet and the once-in-a-lifetime chance to save billions of lives. If you’re not too sure about jumping on that venture, you can test your brains through an online puzzle where you can possibly find a COVID-19 cure.
