How to and who are eligible to join:

 

1. For a texter to qualify, he/she must:

 

a. Own a mobile phone capable of sending SMS entries

 

b. Be a subscriber of Smart, TnT, Sun, Globe, TM whether in post paid or pre- paid plans;

 

c. NLEX Motorists with cash basis transactions at toll lanes worth at least  P45

 

2. From August 1 – October 31, 2012 NLEX motorists may join the promo by:

 

a. Registering to the promo

 

b. Text in the receipt number of the NLEX Official Receipt

 

How to register:

 

1. Subscribers will have to register to qualify. User can register by sending the following keyword to 2948:

 

NLEX REG<name>/age/ <address> (Ex: NLEX REG Juan dela Cruz/25/112 Rizal St.  Malate Manila)

 

2. All information sent will be kept confidential and will be used solely for Megamobile, Manila North Tollways Corporation and Philippine Daily Inquirer.

 

3. Registration is a one-time process per SIM card and is free of charge.

 

How do you earn raffle entry:

 

1. Each SMS entry that the motorist texts in entitles him/her to 1 raffle entry.

 

2. Cost per entry sending is P2.50 for Smart/TnT/Globe/TM users, P2.00 for Sun subscribers

 

3. To join the raffle, key in NLEX <O.R. number>/<amount> and send to 2948. (For example, NLEX 2322100049/450.)

 

4. All requests, for registration, entry sending should be sent to 2948

 

5. Motorists can submit as many entries as they want, one entry-one OR number

 

6. The first entry received for the valid O.R. number will be deemed as the entry owner, unless proven otherwise. In case of dispute over ownership of the O.R. number entry, motorist will be required to present the original O.R. with 2 valid IDs to any NLEX office, address is listed below.

 

7. Non-winning entries are carried over to the next month

 

8. A person can only win once in the entire promo

 

Requirements to validate entries:

 

1. Qualified raffle entries must:

 

a. Be registered with the NLEX Text and Go North Promo

 

b. Have submitted his/her entry within the duration of the promotion Aug 1 – Oct 31, 2012

 

c. Have received a confirmation text from 2948

 

d. Be present in Megamobile’s system database within the promotion duration.

 

2. All participants are presumed to have read and understood, and agree to abide by the promo’s complete rules and regulations.

 

Provision on invalid entries:

 

Readers who submit any of the following shall not earn a raffle entry:

 

a. The same O.R. number or already used O.R. number

 

b. Invalid O.R. number

Determination of Winning Text Entries:

 

1. All qualified subscribers’ mobile numbers will be assigned a random ID and will be randomly recorded in a database table vis-a vis the date of entry sending

 

2. An electronic random raffling engine will pick out specified number of winner/s on a date range

 

3. In case the same winner is drawn within the draw date, the prize of higher value will be awarded to the winner

The “Board of Judges” composed of a duly authorized representative from Megamobile and MNTC with the presence of a DTI representative will supervise the drawing of winners. Decisions by the Board of Judges are final with concurrence to DTI.

 

Validation Process:

 

Winners will be notified via registered mail and by a call from MNTC.

 

Redemption of Prizes:

 

1. The winner must present the following when claiming their prize:

 

a. Official receipt with the winning O.R. number;

 

b. 2 valid IDs with picture and address;

 

2. For prepaid subscribers, account should be active and should have been properly decremented for all transactions. If inactive, winner shall present an affidavit of loss when claiming the prize.

 

3. For post-paid subscribers, account should have no outstanding balances on the date of redemption

 

4. If winner is a minor, he/she must be accompanied by his parent/s or legal guardian.

 

5. Qualified winners must claim their prizes within sixty (60) days from receipt of notification. Failure to claim within the allotted time/duration forfeits the winner’s right over the prize with prior DTI approval.

 

6. The prize may be claimed at the Manila North Tollways Corporation (Marketing Department) Office at NLEX Compound Balintawak, Calookan City, Philippines 1400, Monday – Friday 10am – 6pm, except holidays (advt)
