Are you looking to win a costume contest this Halloween or just want to impress your friends with the lengths you’ll go to to transform yourself into a spooky something or sexy whatever?
Make sure to check out Skitzo Manila, a costume shop located at The Collective. It has all kinds of dress-up paraphernalia, like Angry Birds costumes (just don’t hurl yourself in the air when you see a pig), Disney-inspired outfits, hats, wigs, fake mustaches (if you feel like dressing up like a houseguest from “Argo”), glasses and even premade hair, like a cute little blond bow of hair a la Lady Gaga.
The store, on its third Halloween season now, is owned and run by partners Cheska
Yupangco, Andrea Reyes, Tessa Santos and Maan Munoa. The store can also make customized costumes, but it’ll take two weeks, so better choose from the available selection since Halloween is just a few days away.
According to Yupangco, the most in-demand costumes are those relating to “Star Wars,” particularly Darth Vader and Storm Troopers. (Stand out and dress like Jabba The Hutt or Chewbacca instead.)
But rising in popularity this season are Jake and Finn from Cartoon Network’s “Adventure Time.”
Full costumes start at P2,000 up, while wigs can range from P300 for the synthetic ones, all the way up to P1,795 for the premium line. Hats and masks in different styles are also available for those who want to dress up, but don’t want to put too much effort into it.
Skitzo Manila is located at Unit M at The Collective, 7274 Malugay Street, San Antonio, Makati. Contact them at 577-3836, 0917-8820114. Visit them at www.skitzomanila.com and email [email protected] for customized orders.
