Usher summer into your home by bringing in some garden freshness and breathing new life into your table. You can start by realizing there’s more than meets the eye while shopping for produce in the supermarket. Also give another look at the things you have and use in your kitchen.
Wheatgrass, readily available by the tray, resembles a patch of overgrown grass. The can be used just that way or cut to size.
Here, we use it as is. To protect the table’s surface, cut a clear plastic sheet measured to the wheatgrass tray’s bottom.
For variety, insert a few flowers in the patch, securing wet floral foam pieces to the bottom of your cut flowers.
An old soup tureen makes for an interesting container for a summer arrangement. Here, soaked floral foam was fitted inside, and bright green flowers, smaller blooms and dill herb were arranged, as well.
