High-end and still in-demand retail brand Lacoste unveiled the Spring-Summer 2013 collection of its Lacoste L!ve product line recently at Whitespace on Pasong Tamo Extension, Makati.
Models sashayed wearing brightly colored apparel, designed for the youth market but retaining the classic Lacoste look, dahlings.
Event host Nicole Andersson introduced a varied lineup guest performers including the Philippine All Stars dance crew, singer Chris Cayzer and DJ Mars Miranda who got the crowd exhausted from dancing.
But there was Corona Beer as well as drinks courtesy of Ralph’s Wines and Spirits, plus popcorn, French fries, cotton candy and ice cream to energize everyone, palanggas.
Clearing having a blast were Lacoste CEO for Asia-Pacific Frank Cancelloni, commercial director Adrien Hiver and marketing director Michelle Cheung.
Lacoste L!ve is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc. It is available at Glorietta and Rustan’s Tower, Shangri-La Plaza Mall.
Strip-I Love Koi team-up
First there were good-looking hunks modeling Speedo’s latest summer wear while it was raining.
Now dahlings, in the midst of sizzling hot weather, the high-tech hair-removal shop Strip: Ministry of Waxing and swimsuit brand I Love Koi presented their très exclusive collaboration collection at the chi-chi Privé Style Series during the Shanghai Summer Orange Bikini Fashion Show.
We were treated to a vision in orange, combined with a variety of swimsuit styles, as some of our town’s most beautiful faces swayed to the music.
Model Bubbles Paraiso opened the show in a white and gold-beaded bikini with coordinating accents from Kultura Filipino.
Each outfit presented was styled by Gerick Ortiz, dahlings.
“Unique details paired with flattering fits and a range of bright, delectable colors are staples of all things I Love Koi,” said Lace Tan, co-owner of I Love Koi. “We made sure distinctive pieces commemorating Strip’s Shanghai Summer Orange wax were clearly visible on the runway… It takes a lot of self-assurance to step out in these revealing bikinis and maillots, something you get from a reliable waxing center.”
Monique Jamlang, sales and marketing manager of Strip, said: “We make it a point to advocate the fast, complete and hygienic removal of unwanted hair, giving women the license to wear whatever they want.”
Champagne sparklers were brought out, as designers and muses got together on stage for a final toast “to celebrate a season of nonstop fun and enjoyment.”
Tequila blast
Can you believe, dahlings, that since 2009, the Philippine International Jazz and Arts Foundation has been partnering with ABS-CBN’s cable and print media group to give us awesome live performances at the month-long Pijazzfest featuring some of the best international and local music acts?
The recent Pijazzfest concert at the Rockwell Tent showcased singer-songwriter Jennifer Blair-Bianco, saxophonist Mindi Abair, female jazz trio Baihana, and legendary jazz duo Tuck and Patti, palanggas.
Making the event more special was the serving of premium tequila brand Casa Noble. It’s one of the best tequilas I’ve tried lately.
Teddy dela Peña, Casa Noble country representative said in his welcome speech: “Served ice cold in our special signature glass, Casa Noble premium tequila is the perfect tandem to great jazz music, as it is one of the world’s finest, silky smooth spirits.” And, if moi may add, it’s organic.
Casa Noble comes in three variants: Crystal, which is un-aged, silver tequila; Reposado, my personal favorite, which is aged 364 days in white French oak barrels; and Añejo, which is aged for two years also in white French oak barrels.
Casa Noble tequila is contained in an eye-catching, hand-blown glass decanter, adorned with an exquisite pewter engraved label and top. Now that’s what drinking a classy tequila is all about, ’di bala, palanggas?
Having a tequila blast were Gabby Lopez of ABS-CBN, Mari Lagdameo of Strumms, John Paul Calvo and Teddy de la Peña of the Calvo Group, Edwin Ong of Global Noble, and Leeds Trompeta of Discovery Shores with Russian beauty Nat Natalie, among others.
And, please take note, music icon and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Carlos Santana, no less, is now a part owner of Casa Noble.
