Try to stay as calm as possible. The full lookbook for the H&M x Balmain collaboration is now upon us. Featuring ornate pieces with gold and diamond-inspired accents, sleek but daring cuts, and tons of black, the clothes featured from the much-hyped up collab scream of the designer Olivier Rousteing’s penchant for going-all out.
Earlier today, the designer announced that he’s taking over H&M’s official Instagram account, and he’s been flooding it with photos of his favorite pieces from the collection. The posts are accompanied by hashtags that reveal his inspirations: #diamondsareagirlsbestfriend, #pearlsareforever, and #detailsobssession.

Olivier is surely the master of the casual drop. From the way we first got the news about the collaboration during the Billboard Music Awards, to how the campaign photos suddenly appeared on our feeds a few weeks ago, our hearts haven’t quite recovered yet.
But in the name of couture taste and design reaching retail accessibility, we’re all for it. We’re counting down the days till we can actually get ahold of the pieces when the collection drops on Nov. 4.
