INTERNATIONAL fashion designer Monique Lhuillier and husband Tom Bugbee were in the country to attend the 50th wedding anniversary of Monique’s parents, Michel and Amparito Lhuillier, who renewed their vows yesterday at the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral.
A grand reception followed at the Grand Ballroom of Marco Polo Plaza Hotel. Monique created her mother’s bridal gown, of course, as well as that of the entourage.
She spent only one day in Manila and one day in Hong Kong to look for retail opportunities. Her Manila trip was just to conduct business meetings and check out some malls for material to write about in her fashion blog for a leading US fashion magazine.
