The celebrated members of the fashion industry gathered for a grand night—No Filter: The 4th Philippine Fashion Ball.

 

Held at the Raffles & Fairmont Makati ballroom on Sept. 22, the ball’s guests included A-list fashion designers, models, photographers, writers, editors, directors, stylists, makeup artists and hairstylists.

 

For the fourth time, this annual ball celebrated the amazing evolution of Philippine fashion and honored the notable efforts of the people who have helped make this happen. Special awards were given those who have greatly contributed to making Filipino style sense well-known, here and abroad.

This year’s awardees were John Valle for Hairstyling; Peps Silvestre and Paolo Maranan for Makeup and Grooming; BJ Pascual for Photography; Ria Bolivar and Jasmine Maierhofer for Fashion Modeling; Vince Uy (Preview Magazine), Suki Salvador (Mega Magazine) and Rey Ilagan (Garage Magazine) for Creative Direction; Myrza Sison for Fashion Media; and Jojie Lloren and Michael Cinco for Fashion Design.

 

Industry awards were also given Inquirer Lifestyle editor Thelma San Juan for the annual Face-Off, Raul Manzano for Metro Society’s “Jose ‘Pitoy’ Moreno: A Tribute Gala”; and Ayala Malls and Philippine Star Lifestyle Editor Millet Mananquil for Style Origin.

 

Aside from the special citations, works by eight young, talented Filipino designers were showcased, Filipinos who have traveled the world and seen it in a different light. They express their individuality through their fashion, and communicate with their generation through their designs.

 

With the theme “Design without Borders,” the designers went beyond limits with their innovative creations. They were Edwin Ao, Renan Pacson, Proudrace, JMan, Sassa Jimenez, Yvonne Quisumbing, Jerome Lorico, and OS Accessories.

 

No Filter: The 4th Philippine Fashion Ball was supported by Hana Shampoo and Raffles & Fairmont Makati.
