MANILA, Philippines – Two years after the enormously successful Dance4Life! at Venice Piazza, McKinley Hill, they are back with “Dance Unite! One United Move and Groove to Raise Funds for the Rebuilding of Yolanda-Stricken Areas”, on November 22, 2014, 5-9pm at the Quirino Grandstand.

On November 8, 2013, Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) made landfall in Central Visayas. There was unprecedented devastation in different cities and provinces — and people did not just suffer from the loss of their homes and properties but especially with the loss of their loved ones and families. Yet despite this, the Filipino spirit has remained strong and faith and hope remain intact.

The Filipino has refused to stay down, but with the help of others all over the world, has begun not just to build, but build back in new and better ways. This year, Food for the Hungry Philippines and Lifeline Foundation Support Team, Inc. invite everyone to be part of a 4-hour dance marathon for a cause billed as Dance Unite!

This fundraising event aims to gather and unite people from all walks of life and ages from all over the region (and hopefully all over the nation) in one venue to celebrate the undefeatable Filipino spirit! For more details, log on to www.danceunite.org.

Food for the Hungry Philippines is targeting 3,000 participants from call centers, NGO’s, the private sector, students and anyone else who wants to live up to the dance challenge. Proceeds will go to different community livelihood, education and empowerment projects and initiatives of Food for the Hungry Philippines and Lifeline Foundation Support Team, Inc., in the Western Visayas affected by Super Typhoon Yolanda.

A year after that fateful night, there are still a lot of things that need to be done in terms of rebuilding and bringing back the normal lives of the people in the Visayas Region. Join in this cause. As they say, “No act is so small especially if it comes from the heart.”

Help rebuild the nation! Help rebuild lives! Join Dance Unite!
