MANILA, Philippines—The Leon Gallery auction of the Jim and Reed Pfeifer collection of Fernando Zobel paintings, drawings and letters last Feb. 6 in Makati City was highly successful.

 

According to Jaime Ponce de Leon of Leon Gallery and Auctions, the Top 3 in sales were:

1 “Seated Man” at P36 million

Zobel (1924-1984) was a Spanish-Filipino modern master and the founder of the famous Museo de Arte Abstracto Espanol in Cuenca, Spain.
