Inquirer RED Magazine celebrated its second solo show with featured designer Maureen Disini.
We thought it was important we look for a designer who embodies the Red lifestyle. She’s well-traveled, always open to learning new things, is driven and hasn’t stopped pursuing her dream. She doesn’t stop at design, her clients get quality craftsmanship, and fabric the designer has sourced from all over the world.
What I was most happy about was not only that the event was well-attended, but also that even the guests embodied the Red lifestyle. People who appreciate the finer things in life and live a balanced life. In fact, I saw Tracie Dizon of A to A Safari and it made me excited just thinking of the trips I would love to have them help me with.
Part of Red’s appeal is its global approach: the Ambassador Igor Khovaev of Russia; Gracita Tolentino, wife of the Swiss Ambassador; Monthip Upatising, wife of the Thai Ambassador; and Consul Agnes Huibonhua were all present at the show.
Close family friends Tessie Luz, Sandie Poblador, Frannie Jacinto were there to support parents lawyer Jess Disini and Princess Disini. Designer friends were also there to witness the up and comer’s first solo show such as Joey Samson, Ivar Aseron, Dennis Lustico, JC Buendia, Ito Curato, Jojie Lloren, Patrice Diaz, James Reyes, TC Sibal and Pepito Albert.
Fashion and lifestyle insiders came to rally behind the former fashion editor, such as retailer Xandra Ramos-Padilla, photographer Sara Black, stylists Sidney Yap, Bea Constantino, SSI’s Malu Francisco, Edd Fuentes, Susan Joven, Annie Ringor.
Tara Santos and Abba Napa of The Moment Group also reminded me I needed to unwind after the show, so why not check out their new venture Bank Bar.
What I’m really trying to say that there were many friends from the industry and personal friends who do understand that every day we have a choice to live better and that night, they decided it meant celebrating with us.
