“Foodgasm goes to Maginhawa,” a project of the University of the Philippines Economics Society (UP Ecosoc) to be held on Oct. 17, is a whole day affair dedicated to all things gustatory and more, at one of the coolest food strips in the metro—Maginhawa Street, Quezon City.
Joining one or all of the activities lined up is something that should not be difficult to decide on.
Here’s an idea of what will happen:
Food-tasting competition
Taste and judge the best upcoming dishes in the culinary scene. Tickets cost P200 (preselling) and P250 (on the day of the event). Reserve your tickets at tinyurl.com/FoodgasmTickets or purchase them at the Barangay Hall, Ecosoc Tambayan in the School of Economics, UP Diliman.
Eating contest
Come in groups of four and battle it out with fellow foodies to win a cash prize and gifts from sponsors. To register, contact Gel Clemente at 0917-8040924. You can also buy tickets at P100/person (before the event) and at P150/person (on the day itself).
Concert
Groove to some of the most promising music acts from 8 p.m. onwards. Admission is free. Alcoholic beverages will be available.
Bazaar
Engage in shopping therapy in a variety of participating shops and stores from 9 a.m. to 12 midnight.
