Veneracion at Altro Mondo

ON VIEW at the Altro Mondo Gallery is “Finding without Seeking,” Roy Veneracion’s solo show.

Veneracion’s art revolves on the themes of death as beauty, time as memoir. The title is an allusion to Picasso’s famous remark: “I do not seek, I find.”

‘Scapes’ in UP Visayas

Ongoing at the University of the Philippines (UP) Visayas in Iloilo is “Scapes,” a group exhibit of artworks depicting landscapes, seascapes and cityscapes.

On view are works by Manuel Baldemor, Virginia Flor Agbayani, Vincent Ramos, Rosete Reyes, Vic Fario, Ed Defensor, Magoo Valencia, Edgar Doctor, Rafael Cusi, Nelfa Querubin, Alex Ordoyo, Alan Cabalfin, John Ernie Acedera, A. Vergara done from the ’70s to the present.

De Guzman at Anna

“SOL Invictus,” the sixth solo exhibition of L de Guzman, is on view at Galerie Anna. These are new works that explore light in various interweaving layers, with the sun as the source of empowering energy.

De Guzman works with his “residual vision,” his eyes having been permanently damaged by Stevens-Johnson syndrome, ultimately influencing how he perceives art and the world.
