Dianne Medina and Rodjun Cruz gave2 fans a glimpse of their would-be-baby’s blue-themed room and gave tips on how to achieve the design without breaking the bank.

The newlyweds explained how the design for baby Rodolfo Joaquin Diego III came together in a video on Medina’s YouTube channel Tuesday, Aug. 25.

Once inside the room, one can feel the light atmosphere that the room exudes.

Cruz shared how he was pleased with the work of their interior designer Mariel because it incorporated hot air balloons, which was a motif in their own prenup photo shoot. The design also made use of light blue tones which was “very refreshing.”

Dianne said the room is 15 square meters with the bathroom and that it was “very affordable”. She added that she hoped would-be-moms could learn a thing or two from what they did.

“Noong nakita ko ito, sabi ko, wow, parang bumalik ako sa pagkabata. Ang ganda sa mata tapos parang relaxing talaga,” Cruz gushed as he welcomed fans into their baby’s room.

(When I saw it, I said, “Wow, it’s like I went back to my childhood.” It’s pleasing to the eyes and very relaxing.)

Focusing on the wall, Medina shared that “instead of wallpaper we opted for wall decal sticker for practicality purposes.”

“So that any time gusto naming magpalit ng (we want to change the) design, we can easily remove all the stickers,” she explained.

The diaper changing station is Cruz’s favorite of the room.

“Siyempre, sa umpisa maninibago ako pero soon magiging expert ako in changing the diapers of Joaquin,” he said.

(Of course, I will need to get used to it at first but soon I will be an expert in changing the diapers of Joaquin.)

The room is filled with essentials for the baby. It has an adjustable baby crib, a day bed which can be pulled to be a wider bed, and letter pillows that spell out “Joaquin”.

Medina felt that a mini-fridge is a necessity as “we can store all baby Joaquin’s milk, food and medicine.”

Another necessity is the humidifier “for the disinfection of baby’s room.”

She showed off a singing shake rattle with color recognition, and a camera monitor which allows you to see the baby on your cellphone.

Medina also gave the benefits of having an air purifier to prevent bacteria and germs in the room, especially since a baby’s immune system is not that strong. She feels that parents need to put double the effort to disinfect a room while there is no vaccine for coronavirus.

In the end, Cruz is happy to have shared the room of his future baby. He believes it will be a happy place as it will be filled with memories of his and Medina’s bonding moments with their first child.

“Dito namin siya babasahan ng bed time stories. Dito ko siya papalitan ng diapers niya hanggang maging expert na ako. Tapos ito rin ang playroom namin hanggang sa lumaki siya,” he said.

(This is where I will read him bedtime stories. Where I will change his diapers until I become an expert. This will be our playroom until he grows up.) NVG
