Ongoing at LRI Design Plaza is Galerya Amalia’s “Langis at Tubig.”
The title refers to the two major mediums, one being oil-based and the other water-based. With the proper technique applied, the two mediums may even be combined, with interesting and surprising results. With a view toward visual variety and a harmonious symphony of different subject matter, themes, styles and technique, the show blends representational artworks with purely abstract pieces, creating a dynamic and flowing energy within the unified space of the exhibition area.
Participating artists are: Cid Reyes, Boysie Villavicencio, Cam Aragon, Chito Ignacio, Eric David, Hapon dela Rosa, Jerry de la Rosa, Jane Ebarle, Jinky Rayo, Lisa Villaseñor, Manny Vailoces, Mary Ann B. Reyes, Meneline Wong, Morris Labana, Pinky Peralta, Rachel Duenas, Raul Jorolan, Rene Canlas, Rico Lascano, Rodolfo Salazar, Ton Acuna, Wilfredo Calderon and Arvino Yanuario, who is also the show’s curator. “Langis at Tubig” runs until Jan. 30.
