After a pause from sharing about her love of plants to fans, certified plantita Aubrey Miles is back, assuring fellow plant lovers that she has not stopped collecting plants.
“It’s been awhile since I shared my thoughts. I’m just happy I’m here and still collecting awesome plants from different sellers, nurseries and collectors,” the actress said in her Instagram page yesterday, Feb. 5, while showing her two-and-a-half year old Monstera Albo. “I hope everyone’s doing well and not giving up on your passion and doing what you really love.”
Miles then talked about how it has reached her recently that plants are “getting CHEAPER and it’s not as BUSY as compared to before.”
“I believe that plants will ALWAYS and FOREVER be there, like what I’m used to. I never really get [discouraged], give bad comments or even think about plants like that,” she stressed. “If you’re a true plant collector, plant friends, plant lover or whatever you call it ‘PLANTS WILL ALWAYS BE IN YOUR LIFE AND THERE’S NO IN-OR-OUT FOR PLANTS,’ plants will never go out of style.”
Miles also has a message to skeptics who seem to imply that plants are no longer in vogue because prices are already supposedly dropping.
“If some say plants are cheaper now? Hmm is it really cheap for you? Oh, if you only know how much they were 15 [to] 20 years ago. Then you’ll know what I’m talking about,” she explained. “For me it’s not plants that make them cheaper… It’s US! Plants never said ‘we’re expensive or cheaper.’ It’s us who always JUDGE their VALUE. IT’S REALLY UP TO US.”
Miles then assured her fans that she will always care for and never leave her plants. JB
