Tired of your quarantine hair? Donate it to Makati Medical Center | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

Have you grown out your hair over the course of our months-long quarantine? Now’s the time to finally get a haircut as the Makati Medical Center (MMC) opens hair donations for its cancer center.

If you’re looking to donate, the MMC is accepting natural, curly and wavy hair as long as they are at least nine inches long. Chemically-treated hair won’t be accepted. Donations should be placed in a zip lock or resealable bag indicating the donor’s full name, contact number and email address.

This isn’t the first hair donation campaign MMC has held for its cancer patients. Prior to the pandemic, the hospital has partnered with the Heads by Volu-Med salon to organize the “Gift of Your Hair” donation event every year since 2016.

Last December, the hospital opened hair donations before Christmas through its Make the Kindest Cut campaign.
