The biggest and arguably most exciting virtual band is back. Not with a new album, but a new immersive documentary.

Directed by Denholm Hewlett, the son of Gorillaz co-founder Jamie Hewlett, “Reject False Icons” follows the band’s biggest projects over the past three years. Specifically, it follows the behind the scenes of their two albums: 2017’s “Humanz” and 2018’s “The Now Now,” as well as their biggest world tour yet.

“The result is the first-ever all-access immersive journey into the world of Gorillaz and its extended family – featuring never-seen footage, where the virtual meets the real,” read the band’s press release.

“Reject False Icons” will premiere worldwide for one night only this Dec. 16. Unfortunately, there are no Manila screening dates. But if you’re lucky enough to be in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and other European countries by this month, you can check the documentary in their local theatres.
