Multi-awarded race-car driver and road-safety advocate JP Tuason has become the first Filipino to be a certified “BMW M Driver Trainer.” Tuason had trained at the BMW facilities in both Munich, Germany, and Salzburg, Austria, dahlings.
He is the founder and president of Tuason Racing School, the only professional racing and training school in the country, with some 4,000 students a year.
As the only certified Filipino BMW M driver trainer, Tuason has become one of the elite instructors authorized to give certification to driving enthusiasts joining the BMW Driving Experience.
“It is such a great honor to be part of this elite team,” he said. “The course was very hard. The theory and driving exercises we were asked to do were difficult for me, since my more experienced classmates included two BMW factory race-car drivers, a Swedish rally driver, a Formula driver from Mexico, a German Rally champion, an engineer who helped build the new M3, an AMG instructor, and a Porsche instructor.”
He further explained: “Although I have had years of training experience and racing background, apparently, so did everyone else. Completing both levels is one of my greatest achievements.”
Asian Carmakers Co. president Maricar Parco said: “With the launch of the M cars here in the country, it is important to give our customers the proper training and experience on how to enjoy their BMWs without limits.”

When I asked Ria what the bottom line of Red is, she replied: “We look for people (men or women) who are admired and a source of inspiration for others, because they have found their niche and have the passion for what they do.”
“Would Red deal with ‘namedroppables’ or the ‘society set?’” I asked.
“No way,” Ria answered. “This is not about family names, or ‘It girls,’ as you put it. We stick to things that last and have substance, including interesting homes to inspire our readers.”
