For all the screaming and carrying on, their neighbors thought they’d won the lottery. But it was a lumpy old sofa stuffed with $40,000 in cash that had three young roommates raising a ruckus.
The 24-year-old won the jackpot twice in a U.S. local lottery, just a couple of days apart for each win.
The woman forgot the ticket in her nephew's house, who scratched it for her, revealing the $300,000 (P16.1 million) prize.
An unnamed elderly couple in Australia got lucky when they bagged the lottery once again after winning 60 years ago.
"I had to run out to my truck to get my glasses," he said, recalling the moment he won. "I was in disbelief."
