On Valentine’s Day, Philippe Charriol made the rounds of the Charriol boutiques in Manila to present bouquets of flowers to the stores’ female staff. It’s a gesture that reflects the nature of this romantic and passionate man.
Pearl collars, chokers and cuffs were all on display recently when Jewelmer Joaillerie launched its spring-summer 2013 collection. That evening, many of the women who attended the event at NBC Tent at the Fort had freshly scrubbed, lightly powdered necks—the better to display their jewels.
“Of course, you trusted her—she was a friend,” said Dad, sarcastically repeating my statement, sneering at the naïvete of a daughter all of 54 years, definitely more disappointed than angry.
