Beginning Aug. 17, M Bakery—the New York City bakeshop that opened its first Manila branch in 2018—will be offering special cupcake icing classes.
The introductory cupcake icing classes will be two-hour sessions held every third Saturday of the month, with five to 10 participants for each class. Students will be taught the following: flat top icing, inscription making, and piped flower designing. Participants will also get to learn more about M Bakery’s signature swirl, a technique that has been trademarked in the US back in 2012, and takes over 40 hours of practice to perfect.
Participants will take home six cupcakes they decorate during class. Aside from weekend classes, M Bakery also offers special scheduled classes for families, friends, and even companies who want to use these classes for team-building. A class is offered to individual participants at P2,500; group reservations of at least 10 participants enjoy discounted rates.
