It was a night of sheer luxury and elegance when Japanese-American designer Tadashi Shoji unveiled his Fall-Winter 2013 Collection.

The collection was presented by Zenaida “Nedy” R. Tantoco of Rustan’s in cooperation with Hongkong Shanghai Banking Corp., natch.

It was a one-of-a-kind show for the benefit of the Assumption Transformative School in Passi, Iloilo, palangga.

Nedy T. and Tadashi himself presented a check of $5,000 to Assumption Sisters Mary Fidelis and Bernadette Eugenie Casas of Iloilo.

According to Tantoco, it was “the designer’s personal donation, benefiting the projects of the foundation.”

Tantoco added that Tadashi would raise a bigger amount for the Assumption cause, “which will help more students have better learning experience.”

The fun part was when three lucky winners, all wealthy gals, mind you, got P20,000 worth of Rustan’s gift certificates from HSBC and a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be styled by the genius Tadashi himself.

Now, dahlings, that truly deserves a wow!

“We at HSBC are proud to partner with Rustan’s for an evening featuring the styles of renowned fashion icon Tadashi Shoji,” said Gigi Pio de Roda, HSBC head of retail banking and wealth management. “HSBC shares the same vision of providing opportunities to further education in the country to make a difference in the communities where we operate.”

Tadashi’s 40-piece collection consisted of gorgeous, stylish and delicate looks.

Needless to say, the Tadashi show was packed with A-listers, including Japanese Ambassador Toshinao Urabe, Swiss Ambassador Ivo Sieber, Isabelle Garachon, Dutch Ambassador Ton Boon Von Ochssee with stylish wife Martine, European Union Ambassador Guy Ledoux and Margaret Ledoux, Alain Jean Borgers, Francis Zamora and Kerry Zamora, Angie de Villa Lacson, Rustan’s Criselda Lontok and Inno Sotto.

From over 150 entries, dahlings, grand prize winners were Ogos Aznar for “Aida” (Enthusiast category) and Julian Culas for “Lola” (Student).

Afterward, the star of the night, Victorinox Klasse card, made its entrance! It’s a loyalty card that gives members perks and privileges, palangga.

Ambassador Sieber once again went on stage as the Klasse card’s first honorary member, dahlings. Après, cards were distributed to other invitees.
