She began baking the golf ball-shaped butter cookies in the 1990s; from there she expanded to adapt from Bavaria the Linzer Torte and Vienna Fingers; from Germany, the Oblaten, Black & White Forest and Lebkuchen; from Scandinavia, the Jan Hagel; from Italy, the biscotti, from the UK, the Lemon Hearts; and from Australia, the Anzacs.
Today, among the most popular items are the bite-sized cookies shaped like marbles.
The Russian Cookie House is participating in the “Royale Christmas” at The Podium until Dec. 31.
The Podium’s Russian-theme Christmas is showcasing a giant replica of Moscow’s famous cathedral, life-size Faberge eggs, Russian Christmas dolls and ornaments.
Highlights of the event include a Russian-theme ballet performance, symphony orchestra, and weekend activities such as “meet-and-greet Father Frost and Snow Maiden” and many more.
Russian cookies will be given away at The Podium’s “pick-a-prize” promo.
