MANILA, Philippines—For Miss Universe Philippines bet Mary Jean “MJ” Lastimosa, Filipinos are the best fans that the beauty pageant could ever have.

In her official interview posted at the official Miss Universe YouTube channel, Lastimosa described her fans as her “source of strength.”

“They are the heartbeat of every representative that’s fighting for Miss Universe. They are my source of strength right now,” Lastimosa said.

The 27-year-old beauty from North Cotabato also described her fans as “incomparable” to other fans in the competition.

“I cannot compare the Filipino fans to any other fans here. I claim it: they are the best fans that the Miss Universe could ever have,” she added.

Aside from her official interview, Lastimosa was also featured in the trailer of the beauty tilt’s swimsuit competition.

Meanwhile, Miss Universe Philippines 2013 Ariella Arida will host the behind-the-scenes coverage during the coronation night. Arida placed third-runner up during the Miss Universe 2013 tilt held in Moscow, Russia.

Miss Universe pageant, now on its 63rd edition, will have its coronation night on January 25 (January 26 in Manila) at the City of Doral in Florida state, United States.
