Beachwear just got more exciting with graphics, prints and colors, as Speedo launched its Spring-Summer 2015 collection, “Intensify.”
Whether you’re out to get some real water action, take a quick dip, play beach volleyball or just people-watch, Speedo, the brand relied on by elite athletes around the world, has something for you.
“Speedo has been in the business for a long time. Today we have complete propositions for all types of swimmers—those who swim for health, for fun and for those who compete,” said Annalyn Jimenez, Speedo Philippines merchandising manager.
This summer, show off those curves with Speedo’s Sculpture collection. It’s made of the brand’s latest innovation, an exclusive high-stretch fabric called Xtra Life Lycra that highlights a woman’s shapely figure. The collection, which comes in bold colors and bright prints, also lasts up to 10 times longer than the regular swimwear.
The fitness buff will be happy to know that the technique-enhancing swimwear in the Swim Fitness collection has been improved. Both the Pinnacle Kickback and Pinnacle V now have more compression panels, enabling swimmers to engage their core muscles more efficiently. This minimizes drag and helps the swimmer maintain a horizontal position with much ease.
Bust stability
“The collection also has, for the female version, a 360-degree power mesh for bust stability,” Jimenez said.
She added that Speedo’s Fastskin LZR Racer Elite 2 suit has also been improved. Retaining its highly compressive yet lightweight qualities, it now has increased water repellency.
The Fastskin LZR Racer X, researched and developed at Speedo’s Aqualab team with 1,200 swimmer subjects, is the suit engineered for the athlete, or for anyone who wants to improve in their game.
More than 10,000 hours were devoted to developing the Fastskin LZR Racer X suit. It combines four crucial performance components—compression, construction, sensitivity, and support—to create the powerful psychological feeling of being fast that could eventually lead to actual improvement in performance.
“The suit is made of a high-compression fabric that allows the swimmer to have freedom of movement in the water,” Jimenez said.
The Speedo Spring-Summer 2015 collection featured Olympians Jessie Lacuna and Ariana Herranz, and Philippine brand ambassador Gillian Akiko Thomson-Guevara.
Check out the variety of digital prints in the Competitive Training collection. The collection is made of Endurance+ and Endurance 10 fabrics, exclusive to Speedo, for both junior and adult styles. This means increased chlorine resistance and a longer-lasting fit.
For those who want to add more fun to their summer wardrobe, Speedo has the Play & Fun collection. Beach-lovers will swoon over the selection of flattering and feminine styles in one-piece bikinis and tankinis.
Speedo unveiled new goggles with the revolutionary Speedo Biofuse and IQfit technologies. The Aquapulse Max 2 now has a more secure and accurate fit. The Futura Biofuse boasts a smoother seal and frame for better comfort. More colors are now available for the Speedo Fastskin Elite Mirror.
