Last call for applications to UST nat’l writing workshop | Lifestyle.INQ

THE UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas Center for Creative Writing and Literary Studies (UST CCWLS) is accepting applications to the UST CCWLS National Writers Workshop up to June 5.

Applications are open to both UST and non-UST writers. Available are 12 fellowships covering board and lodging, transportation and modest honorarium.

Workshop will be held at Ridgewood Residence, Baguio City, on July 19-26.

Submissions in either English or Filipino must consist of either two short stories, two works of creative nonfiction, two one-act plays or four poems. Manuscripts should be submitted in hard copy and on CD, preferably in MS Word format, with updated resumé, recommendation letter from a literary mentor, certification that the works are original, and two 2×2 ID pictures.

Special guest panelist is University of the Philippines professor Emeritus Gémino H. Abad. Workshop director is poet-critic Ralph Semino Galán.

Teaching panel will included Professor Emeritus Cristina Pantoja Hidalgo, director of UST CCWLS; and Augusto Antonio Aguila, Vijae Orquila Alquisola, Ina Abuan, Ma Ailil Alvarez, Michael M. Coroza, Mar Anthony de la Cruz, Joselito D. de los Reyes, Dawn Marie Nicole Marfil, Ned Parfan, Chuckberry J. Pascual, Jaymee T. Siao, John Jack G. Wigley and Lito B. Zulueta.
