A nerd or dork is a pretty generic look for Halloween, but if you go with a friend it makes the costume unique. This year, I’ll be going to some parties my friends are hosting. I might also go to La Union with some buddies for the Surfing Break 6 event. My most memorable Halloween experience was when we were kids me, Rich (brother) and Karl (cousin) would go trick or treating grab candy and start running. We got into trouble but it was really fun, exciting and memorable.

My most memorable Halloween costume is a Green Soldier, made by spray and face paint. It had a matching rifle, binoculars, helmet and sunglasses, which were all painted green! I grew up playing with plastic army men and having my own mini battles, so as soon as I thought of the costume, nostalgia just filled me and I had to be it. This Halloween I will be at a costume party in Alabang.

I had always wanted to wear the head-to-toe body suit of the Pink Ranger, so I did one Halloween. As a kid, I loved the pink ranger and I lover her costume, but all those T-shirts, and costume kits from toy stores never gave the costume justice. That’s why I decided to make one as close to the actual costume I used to see on TV (after 10 years). This year for Halloween, I plan to go bar hopping in Makati.

Cara Farin, 19, Ateneo de Manila

Wonderwoman was my costume the other year and I really liked it because I had always wanted to be Wonderwoman. I managed to find and squeeze in a ready-made children’s costume. I wore this to a party and actually won a loot bag for best in costume. This year, my friends are throwing a Halloween party so that’s where I’ll be. I’m excited to see all of them in their costumes.
