Fresh faces star in “Wildlings,” a fashion shoot in the November issue of Scout magazine. Featured are garments for cool weather and holiday parties. Here, students Gianne and Molly model some of the best trends to rock in by year’s end.
SHAGGY BABY
The ’70s has yet to lose its style steam—tastemakers still favor hints and flourishes of retro chic. While wearing fur takes the audacity of a serious style star, easier-to-adapt pieces like a mock turtleneck and flared trousers are nonetheless dashing.

ROOKIE ROMANTIC
Fashion’s having a huge Victorian-Gothic moment, and it seems an abundance of romantic lace and ruffles is here to stay. Take your cue from Mia Wasikowska and Jessica Chastain in “Crimson Peak.” With a white day dress, a tiny punk touch like a choker completes the look.

PAJAMA PARTY
Proof that style and comfort can coexist—loose, pajama-inspired silhouettes epitomize luxe and ease. Going overboard like you’re about to crash on the nearest mattress, though, is a no-no. Keep the color palette chic by going for muted neutral tones.

WILD WEST
Fabrics like suede and corduroy in rich hues like mustard and marsala echo a brazen Old West vibe. Avoid fringe on every cuff and hem, as well as a generous peppering of studs and rivets, and you’ll be fine.
