A reader asked, “How can we protect ourselves and our property from harm and negativity?”
With today’s rampant criminality and social perversity, it is necessary for us to develop some means to protect ourselves from physical harm and damage to our personal property.
Thoughts are very powerful, and there is a natural principle that says “Like attracts like” on the mental and spiritual plane. So if you think positively, then positive things will happen to you. If you think negatively, negative things will happen.
If you always think that you will be harmed or your property is stolen, then it will likely happen because your thoughts attracted such a response.
If you think that your hand bag will be snatched, or your house robbed, it will happen.
So how can you protect yourselves? The first level of protection is your thoughts. If you think positively, that your house or property is protected, then it will be.
To protect yourself, imagine that you are being surrounded or enclosed in a balloon or a cocoon of white light, and imagine that nothing can penetrate that light. Then you are protected as long as you have that in mind.
Before leaving your house or your car, think of it as being enclosed by a white light, and it will not be stolen or robbed. As mentioned above, like attracts like on the mental and spiritual plane.
There was a study made in the United States of 9,000 women who were raped. When they were interviewed, 90 percent or more were always thinking that they would be raped. They were attracting this thought, not because they wanted to, but because of fear of being raped.
Why is there war, sickness and death?
I don’t think I have the answer to that question. If you recall when Pope Francis was here in 2015, there was a 12-year-old Filipino girl who asked the same question. The girl asked the Pope, “Why did God let this happen to us?” And the Pope said, “I’m sorry, I don’t know the answer to that question. I myself have been asking the same question.”
If the Pope himself cannot answer the question, why evil exists, considering God is good, then who can answer this question? It is said that God works in mysterious ways.
What is the difference between instinct and intuition?
Instinct refers mainly to automatic, animal reaction and behavior. For example, a female animal instinctively knows how to feed or milk its offspring, or a bird instinctively knows how to make a nest. That is not intuition.
Intuition refers to an action or knowledge that is beyond reason or rationalization. For example, a person may intuitively know the danger ahead and therefore avoid it.
It is similar to instinct in that the reaction is immediate, without going through the reasoning process.
Intuition may be defined as knowing something without thinking, the same as instinct. That’s why the two words are sometimes used interchangeably.
