Another royal wedding is slated in the United Kingdom as Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle officially announce their engagement.
The Royal Family Facebook page released the announcement and revealed that the couple has set their upcoming wedding in Spring 2018.
The announcement further revealed that families of both parties, including the prince’s grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, have been informed of their plans to wed.
The official notice also stated that the couple “got engaged in London earlier this month.”
Prince Harry’s brother and sister-in-law, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, said through the Kensington Palace official Twitter account that it was wonderful meeting Markle and seeing her and Harry happy together.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge said of the engagement:

Meanwhile, Markle’s parents, Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland, described their daughter as “a kind and loving person.”
“To see her union with Harry, who shares the same qualities, is a source of great joy for us parents,” the joint statement read.

The Kensington Palace page also tweeted that the couple will have a photo call at Kensington Palace. Their first interview together will be aired in the U.K.
Prince Harry and Markle will reside in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace. JB
