Christie’s has auctioned off in London the most expensive bottle of whisky to date: a bottle of Dalmore single malt that sold for P7.7 million (£114,000), doubling its pre-sale estimate.
The 62-year-old Dalmore Kildermorie was one of only 12 bottles master blender Richard Paterson created from single malt casks laid down in 1868, 1878, 1926 and 1939.
Christopher Munro, head of Christie’s London wine department, described the amount paid as “astonishing.”
In the Philippines, Dalmore’s flagship store is located at Uptown Parade in Bonifacio Global City.
