Among the five sculptures on exhibit

Francisco M. Verano celebrates his 80th birthday through his 30th one-man show, “Espacio Y Verano,” on view this February at vMeme Contemporary Art Gallery in Alabang.

Exhibit features 24 medium- to large-scale paintings and five sculptures done in neutral colors and muted tones inspired by jazz music.

Yao at Duemila

Photographs by Jay Yao are featured in “The Low Hum of a Drone,” on view until March 10 at Galleria Duemila.

Yao’s works draw references from technology. He captures the landscape of the northern hemisphere, each work presented alongside the abstracted aerial views of Luzon in a combination of green, blue and silver.

Galleria Duemila is at 210 Loring Street, Pasay City.

Artists’ journals at vMeme

vMeme Contemporary Art Gallery’s Art Projects Space presents “A Malady of Sorts: Visual Journal Edition 1,” a group exhibit featuring hundreds of 4 x 6 artworks in various forms and medium.

Participating artists are Laura Abejo, Billijin Esguerra, Oliver Ramos, Ian Castañeda, Avie Felix, FM Verano, Ernie Patricio, Judith Magaling, Kim Di Buncio, Jet Bernal, Coleen Elic, Derrick Macutay, Mayu Solano, Andrew Tan, Jojie Lim, Darlene Tuanqui  Mark Casumpang.

The artists agreed to record their thoughts in tiny pieces of art as spontaneously as they could.

Show runs until March 3.
