León Exchange will hold its ninth online auction on Oct. 19-20 and among lots that will go under the hammer are  exquisite furniture and accessories from the collection of the late businesswoman, style maven, and philanthropist Presentacion “Presy” Lopez-Psinakis.

Lopez-Psinakis was the only daughter of tycoon Eugenio H. Lopez Sr., founder of the Lopez Group of companies.

She married Greek-American Steve Psinakis, and living for a time in Greece, put up a famous Asian boutique that showcased handicrafts, objets d’art, and antiques from the Philippines and other Asian countries.

During martial law, she helped her brother, Geny Lopez Jr., and Sergio Osmeña III, escape from political imprisonment by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

After the Edsa Revolution, she headed the Phil-Asia Assistance Foundation Inc., which provided financial assistance to public school students.
