Raul Isidro is often drawn to the landscape as his starting point. The artist’s initial concern is to depict nature in its basic form interpreted by hues, light, motion, depth and mood.
For “Formative Reflections (Meditations on Summer),” Isidro uses shape and form to define the context of nature’s wondrous phenomena. His work resembles no one else’s: they are tender, pensive, intensely concerned with color and silhouette, being the artist’s essential parameter for perceiving the world.
Important themes in Isidro’s works include the source of his inspiration, context of the subject, its representative purpose, its abstract transfiguration, and its continuous flow in the context of art and life.
The multiawarded artist shares his time in promoting art and honing talents of the next generation of artists.
Demonstrating his creative genius in numerous media as a professional artist, Isidro’s artistic accomplishments and creativity has been showcased in various art exhibitions locally and in foreign shores including Germany, Israel, Spain, China, the Netherlands, Australia and the United States. —CONTRIBUTED
