Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli expressed their gratitude for each other and recently looked back on some things they have been doing, big and small, out of love.
As they recently performed in a concert for a local retail chain, Geronimo profusely thanked her husband for always being supportive of her.
“To you love, thank you for everything, ‘yung mga simpleng bagay lang na gina-guide mo ako, ina-assist mo ako whenever I work from home. Noong nag-lockdown ikaw ang nag-aasikaso ng camera, ng ilaw. Grabe ‘yung efforts mo,” she stated.
(Thank you, thank you for everything. You guide me even on the simplest things. You assist me whenever I work from home. During the lockdown, you take care of the camera work, the lighting. Your efforts have been huge.)
“At saka walang hinihiling na kapalit (you’re not asking for anything in return) every time you do it, you just do it out of love, not obligation,” the pop star said.
Geronimo also thanked her husband for “spoiling” her.
“‘Yung babae kasi ang role is siya ‘yung nagluluto all the time, nag-aasikaso sa asawang lalaki. Pero baligtad sa amin. Siya ‘yung maasikaso, ipagluluto ka,” she said.
(The woman’s role is usually that of being the one who cooks all the time. She takes care of her husband. But with me and Matteo, it’s reversed. He is the caring one, he will cook for you.)
Guidicelli then asked her to see the huge growth she has undergone as her own person, while declaring that to wake up everyday with her is a dream come true.
“Every single day I’m seeing you become and grow to be an incredible, independent woman and an incredible wife,” he said. “Thank you for being you all the time and not faking who you are, not just to me but to my family and to my friends.”
“Sometimes you tell me, ‘Love, hindi ako ganyan, hindi ako ganyan.’ (I’m not like that, I’m not like that) But I trust in you,” Guidicelli added. “I trust in God that you’re learning every single day, to be a stronger woman every single day.”
“I love you for that because you’re learning about life every single day. And you’re becoming [an] independent, bulletproof woman every single day, I’ve seen it with my own eyes and I’m very proud of you, and I’ll love you for the rest of my life,” he promised. JB
